MLB Baseball Underdog System

2009 Baseball Opening Day Underdogs

Posted by info in Results, System Plays

No plays yet for the system.  Not enough value from any dog right now, but that can change as lines will move all over today.

The one game that did catch my eye was Detroit +140 against Toronto.  It is close to being a system play, but needs to be over +150 to qualify as a play.  Looking closer at the game I found this nice stat line from Roy Halladay, starting pitcher for the Blue Jays:

Going back to 1997, Halladay is:

  • 10-2 when starting against Detroit with an ERA of 1.96
  • Blue Jays are 11-3 in games that Halladay starts against the Tigers

If it gets to +150 it will become a system play.  Otherwise looks like no underdog picks today.

2009 Underdog Baseball System record:

  • 1-0, +1.18 units
